Preparing, pouring and serving
Preparing food, pouring drinks and serving learners are the actions at the centre of UPPA’s learner-support work in Knysna. The published film follows people in UPPA shirts arranging meals and refreshments as learners gather nearby.
The team works at tables beside vehicles and beneath a gazebo. Preparing, carrying and serving the food and drinks makes this a shared effort, with people giving their time to support learners directly.
A community effort
UPPA thanks the people contributing to this work. A meal and refreshments are practical forms of care, made possible by the preparation and attention of the people serving them.
Learner support in the wider programme
The earlier community-care update also records meals for matric learners writing their final examinations. That account and the learner-support film sit within UPPA’s published record of practical community activity, alongside food-parcel preparation and relief work.
